Adds Fun Physical Activity

It is no secret that kids spend more time every year in front of a TV or computer. With both parents working and the constant draw of video games and television, JumpBunch provides a welcome dose of structured physical activity. The CDC (Centers for Disease Control) recommends children engage in 60 minutes of physical activity every day. That’s a tall order for today’s busy families. JumpBunch comes to the school, so it’s easily added to existing programs – no greater time commitment, no additional driving. But JumpBunch really works because kids just think its fun; they don’t realize how the carefully crafted activities benefit their development.

We often focus on mental development and take for granted the development of balance, eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills. The immediate encouragement of simple physical successes can be extremely rewarding and beneficial to young children. Studies have also shown that physical activity during the school day increase children’s ability to stay focused and mentally alert the rest of the day.

Kyle really loves JumpBunch. On a recent trip to Hawaii, they had a croquet set on the lawn at our hotel and he yelled that he wanted to play croquet. I asked him where he learned Croquet and he said “HELLO… I go to JumpBunch”. It was funny… so he and I played and he told me what I needed to know. :)
