Joey St. John, Vice President of Operations
As Vice President of Operations, Joey St.John oversees the critical areas that allow a franchise to execute locally and maintain a healthy business. He is also the primary trainer when you complete your franchise purchase. Joining the team in 2010, it is clear Joey is the perfect person to get new owners started and support them over time. His passion for the business is contagious and his continued guidance is invaluable.
In the 15 years prior to joining the JumpBunch corporate staff, Joey represented Hibbett Sporting Goods, Inc. as a Regional Sales Manager. Here he oversaw the day-to-day operations of retail stores in a defined geographic area within the company. There was a heavy emphasis on personnel, recruiting, hiring and training in this role. Other key responsibilities included profitability analysis, budgeting, inventory control, marketing, and customer service.
Joey has B.A. in Psychology from Mercer University and more than 20 total years experience in management and operations. This background and experience enhances his ability to understand the needs of franchisees. Joey is always in tune with the challenges and opportunities of JumpBunch owners as his wife operates her own JumpBunch business.
Tom Bunchman, Founder & CEO
Founder Tom Bunchman was motivated to start JumpBunch in 1997. Back then, he and his wife Kathy enrolled their young daughter in a wide variety of sports and activities, including Lacrosse, Soccer, Field Hockey, Dance, Gymnastics, Tennis, Swimming, and Figure Skating (she ended up embracing Tennis and played on her college Tennis team). They noticed most of their friends doing the same thing with their kids. It became obvious to Tom that there was great potential for a quality program such as JumpBunch. So he crafted an ideal way to tap into this rapidly expanding market niche. Simply put JumpBunch is a highly effective business model that brings sports to young children in a fun, engaging way. It was clearly the right service at the right time. Given Tom’s years as a franchisee himself, he is uniquely qualified to support and mentor franchisees, allowing each owner to reach their full potential. He is truly passionate about JumpBunch and expanding it for the benefit of kids across the globe.
Tom attended the University of Illinois and lives in Annapolis Maryland with his wife Kathy. Their daughter now lives in Charleston South Carolina with her Navy husband Patrick. Tom’s passions include boating, golf and the Washington Redskins.
Margaret Mobley-Meulman, National Curriculum Director
With more than 70 different activities across three distinct age groups, it is clear that Margaret’s role as curriculum director is critical. Her job is to not only maintain the vast assortment of lesson plans and equipment specifications of existing activities, but also to continuously keep up with new opportunities in our JumpBunch markets. Her high-energy approach is perfectly matched to this need, and she serves as our franchisee connection point to the true JumpBunch product…a great class experience for the kids!
Margaret received her Doctor of Education degree from East Tennessee State University and also has a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology. Her experience as an exercise physiologist, personal trainer, physical education teacher, coach, and college athlete make her a true expert that we are proud to have as part of our team.
Margaret lives just outside of Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband and son. She is an avid runner and die-hard fan of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers. Margaret started with JumpBunch as Coach and Marketing Director for the local area franchise and continues to be hands on in that franchise in order to keep her finger on the pulse of JumpBunch classes at the local level.
